Abstract:
The electrochemical behavior of duplex stainless steel has been
evaluated in sulfuric acid solutions by weight loss method,
potential-time and potentiodynamic polarization techniques. The
results showed that increasing sulfuric acid concentration and
temperature lead to increasing the corrosion rate and decreasing
the passivity region. On the other hand, the thermodynamics
parameters ΔH, ΔS and E have been determined.
