Abstract:
Enantiospecific synthesis of optically active
(S)-1-(N-alkyl-2-aryl-indol-3-yl)ethanols has been successfully
accomplished in ecofriendly conditions by baker’s yeast mediated
bioreduction of N-alkyl-3-acetyl-2-arylindoles. All the
synthesized compounds have been characterized by elemental
analyses, spectral data and polarimetric analyses.
