ABSTRACT
In this study, relationship
between vitamin A and β-carotene in hepatopancreas, gonad (testis)
and muscle of male freshwater crayfish (Astacus leptodactylus) was
investigated. The amount of vitamin A was found 3.44±0.47 mg/g
tissue, in hepatopancreas, 3.73±0.21 mg/g tissue in testis and
1.33±0.16 mg/g tissue in muscle. The amount of β-carotene was
observed 4.39±0.23 mg/g tissue, 2.43±0.12 mg/g tissue, 2.33±0.07
mg/g tissue, in hepatopancreas, testis and muscle respectively. As a
conclusion, this study was revealed that the amount of vitamin A in
testis (3.73±0.21 mg/g tissue), and of β-carotene in hepatopancreas
(4.39±0.23 mg/g tissue) and muscle (2.33±0.07 mg/g tissue) tissues
were statistically significant higher composition with other
tissues.
